Jeff places third in AIChE honorary session “Excellence in Graduate Polymer Research”

Jeff recently placed third in the “Excellence in Graduate Polymer Research” honorary session at the 2014 AIChE Annual Meeting held on November 16-21, 2014 in Atlanta, Georgia.

An elite group of only ten graduate students from various institutions nationwide were selected by a committee of experts in the Polymers Materials Engineering and Science Division to participate in the competition, which consisted of individual research presentations. Participants were selected based on their demonstrated excellence in chemical engineering research in any field involving polymer science and engineering. Jeff was nominated by his advisors Frank Bates (CEMS) and Theresa Reineke (Chemistry) to present his work involving the design of tunable, multifunctional polymers as modular excipients for oral drug delivery.
