Congratulations to group member Jeff Ting for being the the recipient of the first annual AIChE Pharmaceutical Discovery, Development and Manufacturing (PD2M) Student Award, sponsored by Pfizer. Additionally, Jeff has also been awarded a $1200 Conference Travel Grant from the Council of Graduate Students (COGS) at the University of Minnesota.
Jeff presented recent work titled “High-throughput Polymer Screening for Oral Drug Delivery: From Discovery to Design.” An abstract can be found here.
For the AIChE PD2M Student Award, Jeff was awarded a commemorative plaque and $5000 at the 2015 American Institute for Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Annual Meeting in Salt Lake City to fund travels to future AIChE meetings. The prize was awarded at the PD2M Forum Awards Ceremony on November 9th at the Salt Palace Convention Center.

The first annual PD2M Student Award recognizes students with outstanding contributions to the field of pharmaceutical discovery, development or manufacturing. Awardees will be selected based on their contributions to the research in or application of innovative solutions to technological problems, and/or commercialization of new processes and products.
