About Me:

Where are you from?

Chicago, IL

If you could meet one scientist from the past or present, who would it be and why?

Alexander Borodin. An avid Romantic composer, chemistry professor, and medical surgeon, Borodin is credited with the first discovery of the aldol condensation and penned many classic orchestral works. He also took the lead as an outspoken feminist in teaching advanced medical courses to women, sometimes at the cost of his reputation, and frequently invited relatives, strangers, and stray animals into his home. I'd like to pick his brain on how he approached and managed so many lines of work and thank him for leaving behind such a beautiful and powerful legacy.

If you could visit any place in the solar system, where would it be and why?

Io, the volcanic moon of Jupiter. I wonder how crazy it would be to see Jupiter rising in the "night sky" and what Io's volcanic eruptions are like (wearing proper PPE, of course).
