The goal of our research is to discover non-viral vehicles for the CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing system by screening a library of well-defined synthetic polymers. Specifically, we will synthesize 64 well-defined polymers by controlled radical polymerization techniques, incorporating diverse chemical functionalities. Parallel synthesis and other high-throughput experimental tools will be used to populate the polymer library.
Where are you from?
If you could meet one scientist from the past or present, who would it be and why?
I would like to meet Youyou Tu, the first female scientific Nobel Prize winner in China. She worked on her research for decades until she finally discovered artemisinin, which inhibits the malaria parasite effectively. I hope I could ask her about her methods and attitude when she meet difficulty.
If you had to eat one type of food for every meal, what would it be?
