Craig Van Bruggen Awarded Frieda Martha Kunze Fellowship

Congratulations to Craig for being awarded a Frieda Martha Kunze Fellowship for the 2017-2018 academic year! Craig was awarded this fellowship based on his academic record and professional promise. The Frieda Martha Kunze Fellowship is provided through the University of Minnesota Graduate School and is open to graduate students in biochemistry, chemistry, or the biomedical sciences. The fellowship includes a stipend of $25,000 plus tuition for up to 14 credits per semester.

He is currently working on synthesizing novel polymers for gene delivery applications. This research has promise to treat a variety of genetic diseases.

Craig earned his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of Puget Sound and he plans to pursue a career in the field of biotechnology.
